About Us

Spearing Service L.P. has a rich history tied to the development of Saskatchewan's oil industry. Established in 1956 as Bowman and Spearing in the Oxbow/Frobisher region, the company began operations alongside the area’s first oil well drilling activities.

Over the years, Spearing expanded its presence, adding a terminal in Carlyle, SK, and entering Manitoba in 1996 with the acquisition of Koch. Growth continued in 2003 with the purchase of TransX’s oil hauling assets, followed by a new terminal in Pipestone, MB.

In 2006, Spearing Service joined Mullen Group Ltd., a leading North American logistics company renowned for its acquisition-driven growth strategy and operational excellence. This partnership further enhanced Spearing’s capabilities with expanded trucking services, frac support, and another terminal in Waskada, MB.

In January 2015, Spearing Service L.P. merged with Brady Oilfield Services L.P., another long-standing Mullen Group division. This integration expanded services to Halbrite and Weyburn, SK, and introduced a sand and gravel division, broadening the range of services for our customers.

Today, Spearing Service L.P. continues to grow alongside the industry, offering a comprehensive range of trucking, frac support, and service-related solutions, supported by the innovative culture of Mullen Group.
